Q & A:
Q |
Why would we want to use GlobalMarineLink? |
A |
GlobalMarineLink has over 30 years of international expertise, 14 of which have served the marine industry. It takes a broad international background with specific marine industry knowledge and insight to achieve the level of trust with foreign partners. There are no floor plans for the vast majority of dealers in the distant parts of the world so they need a very high level of comfort with you. That's where we come in because they'll know we're not just middle men. We become an extension of your company. |
Q |
Why can you get the job done better than someone else? |
A |
We have successfully served several US-based luxury boat manufacturers and have a proven track record with measurable results. We can quickly adapt to your corporate culture, the nuances of your product and what makes it different among the competition. We learn how you make it, how you want their marketing and sales efforts to best reflect your culture and how you conduct your customer service and warranty program. |
Q |
Why use a service such as yours in the first place? |
A |
Two reasons. First; due to the economic environment, there has never been a better time for international expansion for US companies than now. Second; Few people have the experience that we have. It takes time to hire the right person with the proper credentials. We're a reliable and cost-effective solution to the immediate need of going global; bottom-line is you profit from our expertise and don't take unnecessary risks. |
Q |
Shouldn't we look to hire someone to do this job anyway? |
A |
Certainly. In fact once we begin expanding your markets you probably should start looking for a full-time person. Initially though it's less-expensive, less risky and quicker to use our services. And we do offer long-term management service as well. Our role will then be to dovetail with your new export people to get them up-to-speed. In the long-run it's always best to have an in-house full time employee conduct your export program. |
Q |
What do you mean "long-term management service"? |
A |
Once the dealer is signed and they've deposited for their first boat order(s), the work has just begun. Just like domestic dealers, international ongoing dealer management is time-consuming and if not executed well can cost the relationship and even the sale. We can manage the ongoing "hand-holding" of the dealer and assure their money is transferred to you in a timely way; that the boat is built to their (and your) specification for their market; that transportation is organized and timely; that port-of-entry is navigated smoothly; that the initial inspection of the boat is done in a timely and accurate way; that factory assistance in commissioning and troubleshooting is done with clear communication; that the models are perfect-looking for display and that the warranty registration paperwork is signed and delivered. These are just some of the main points. |
Q |
How do we know you'll actually produce? |
A |
Our compensation schedule is largely performance-based and tied into unit sales abroad. The fact that we're communicating means we have good assurance that your product has real potential abroad. |
Q |
Is dealer development all you do? |
A |
Our service is narrowly-focused for the sole reason of bringing you results quickly and profitably. |
| In short, we provide North American pleasure boat manufacturers with top quality international dealer outlets to elevate your market presence and boost your bottom line. | |
